Anan radios do come up for sale here and elsewhere occasionally. Maybe not as often as other brands of radios. But then again, there have not been that many sold compared to other brands of radios. I do see them occasionally on qrz.com and qth.com. Sometimes they sell quickly and other times not so quickly.
I think what may put some potential buyers off ( if they do adequate research beforehand) is the complexity of setting up an Anan radio to get the most out of it. They are not plug and play. Not even the new G2 Saturn radios. So, that tends to put some people off.

Here a update that I received from Tony about the dilevery of the G2 with the new 8 inch display:

Hello Bert,

Thank you for your email.

I apologise for the delay, the software for the new panel is almost ready and we are awaiting the final tested release from the developers which will be then loaded on the radios.

Since the new panel offers compatibility with both Thetis and PiHPSDR it has required changes to Thetis, PiHPSDR, P2app as well as writing the Arduino code.

I will update you as soon as the radio is ready to ship, it should not take too much longer.

Regards,

Tony

If you can get on the Apache Labs @groups.io mailing list there is a ham in New Zealand that has received his new G2 Saturn Ultra that has found a few problems as well. Some he has solved.
There is one post there that details setting up the G2 for network connections that may solve your problem.

Still waiting on word about my screenless Anan-G2. I paid the invoice almost 3 weeks ago. Just curious if there is ANY timeline on order fulfillment.

Seriously? No reply? No answers to email. Yet, I've been charged for a product I don't have, and have no idea of when it will even ship. I will soon be paying interest on something I don't have. I don't mind waiting so much as being ignored. If no one can even give me an answer as to when something I paid for "MIGHT" ship, then just refund my money.

Rich--although Apache owns the server this forum resides on, actual Apache Labs folks read and post here only very, very rarely. Thus it's extremely unlikely anyone who would be knowledgeable about orders is seeing your posts.

The other issue to be aware of is it seems that the Apache mail server is not held in high regard by many of the other mail servers around the world. Thus your emails might not be getting to them, or their emails might not be getting to you. The only thing you can do is try to send mail from an alternate email address.

As for refunds, there are numerous posts on the forum about folks who could not contact Apache and instead had to contact their credit card company to reverse payment. Doing that always seems to get Apache's attention.

These days, anyone who puts an order in with Apache might strongly consider using a credit card and be very mindful of any time limits on their ability to challenge charges on the card.

I'm not even sure how to read that. So your email is no good and no one checks in on the forum regularly?

Unfortunately, buyer beware. Scott's comments are spot on.
Reading this forum before making a purchase decision can help one decide what the best route to take is.

It's not my email. I'm just a volunteer moderator of the forum. I am not an Apache employee, receive no compensation from them of any kind, and have no inside knowledge of their operations.

And, yes, it is a rare day that anyone from Apache looks at the forum much less posts anything

Just before I purchased my 7000DLE MKII ...hmm....a while back, I had the good fortune of contacting a live person via (gasp!) telephone. I don't recall the nature of the conversation, but it was satisfactory. ...and it was on the 1st try.

Same here. I jumped in the same day for the 1.5 Amplifier that was announced. I used PayPal for six months same as cash perk. But if I hadn't canceled a few weeks ago, I would have started paying interest on Vaporware.

Well, now I finally get a message back that the radio is boxed up and awaiting shipping. I'm going to wait and see. But if I don't have this thing in under 3 weeks, I'm done.

That's the 100W G2, right?

The 1500W one is what I'm waiting for.

Check your credit card terms to be sure of the time limit to contest a charge and do a charge back. The message you got back is the same many have received in the past saying their radios were all set to ship " next week " once they either initiated a charge back or asked for a refund. And most still haven't received their order. It is, to me, a delaying tactic. If it goes too long you could, potentially, loose all your money.
Buyer beware unfortunately, is the rule of the day.

Folks here should read the front page of Apache Labs website. It now states Apache Labs USA LLC, proudly based in California, USA. Maybe Abhi has left Australia and moved to sunny California. Unfortunately, no real details if it is simply offices have moved or production as well.
You would think that if this was true, they would have made a point to announce the move, along with details here on the forums.

Just checked the state of California records for Apache Labs USA LLC. Listed in records as being on 21st street in Sacramento, California. It is in a three story building. Looks like an office suite. Not manufacturing facility.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Apache Labs USA LLC Establishes Headquarters in California, Expanding Service and Support for Amateur Radio Enthusiasts

California, USA - October 12, 2024 – Apache Labs USA LLC is proud to announce that it has officially established its headquarters in California, USA. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in our commitment to serving the needs of the growing Amateur Radio community, focusing on the continued development of high-performance Software-Defined Radios (SDRs) with our focus entirely on Amateur Radio.

The California headquarters will not only serve as the company’s base of operations but will also bring several advantages to our valued customers in the United States:

Local Service and Support: Apache Labs USA LLC is setting up a state-of-the-art service center in California to ensure faster and more efficient local servicing of our products. This will complement the exceptional support already provided by Doug, W5WC, who has been a trusted resource for our US customers for years.
Enhanced Customer Training: We are excited to announce that efforts are underway to establish online training sessions to better support our customers. These sessions will offer in-depth guidance on how to get the most from your Apache Labs SDR, including product setup, advanced features, and troubleshooting.
Faster Product Approvals: Our US operations are working diligently to expedite FCC clearances for two highly anticipated products: the G2-1k SDR and our 1500W amplifier. Once approved, these products will deliver even more power and flexibility to amateur radio operators, ensuring that Apache Labs remains at the forefront of SDR technology.
By relocating to California and strengthening our presence in the USA, we are better positioned to serve our growing customer base with improved support, faster product access, and enhanced local servicing. As always, Apache Labs USA LLC remains dedicated to providing world-class SDRs that meet the needs of amateur radio enthusiasts.

Maybe they will have to start treating their customers better.
Consumer protection laws in the United States are much tougher than a lot of other countries.
If manufacturing is still in India I wonder if the lack of quality control will continue to be a problem.

Sounds like the same investors that thought it would be best to seek FCC approval for the G2-1K radio have demanded a U.S. presence. Money has a way of influencing decision making. Let's face it the direction A.L. was headed was not good. I hope this does turn around A.L. Maybe just freeze product releases for a year. Work on customer service. Work on new hardware development in the background. Prioritize making the company customer friendly and rebuild trust that has been lost.

Since the address was posted, who here has enough google fuuu to find who signed for the business license? Curious to know if it was a private equity company or individual.

Scroll down the document. The "incorporation agent " is Abhi. The document lists the same address for agent and location of the business offices.
