I'm making a polite request here because I haven't received an answer from Apache Support for a long time. My emails are not being answered. I ordered a HPSDR Hermes and a 10W PA Board for Hermes a long time ago. The HPSDR Hermes board was also delivered, but the 10W PA was still missing.

Why isn't there a reply to emails?
Why is it not delivered as promised?
What should I do now?

I'm disappointed in how Apache treats customers.

Any news about Open HPSDR Hermes (14 bit ADC, EP3C25) Transceiver Card + 10W PA Board for Hermes delivery? I placed the order on May/2023 (Order Number: AC-4106), so far no news, and apache labs does not answer emails

This may not help those waiting for their Hermes board, but I emailed them (yet again) last night about the PA board and this time got a response:

The 10W PA relays used in the board are out of stock, we expect to receive them next month after which the boards will be shipped ASAP.

Update: I received the following response to my order inquiry about the 10W amplifier:

Some parts in the 10W PA board are over 10 years old and we have had some supply chain issues procuring these, we have recently tested substitutes which work well and have ordered these, expected delivery of these parts is end March and we should be able to ship the 10W orders about two weeks after these parts have been received.

Pretty much as expected - those proffered dates have come and gone.

No amplifier has been received.

My recent follow-up email to Apache Labs support has gone unanswered.

I ordered the Hermes transceiver and 10W PA on 7/9/22. I never received the PA and after numerous promises of imminent delivery, I finally gave up and sent email to ask for a refund on 1/17/24. Tony replied and promised it would be taken care of. I never received it. My last attempt to communicate directly with Apache Labs about this matter was on 4/4/24. I did not receive a response.

I'm sure at this point I'll never see the PA or the money I sent them for it.

After two years, I too have given up on the 10W PA board. FWIW - It took a few emails, but Tony did issue a refund to me today. I would have preferred the board, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards.

At this point is seems that seeing any product as old as the 10W amp or Hermes boards from Apache would be very unlikely. They don't seem to be set up to build any legacy designs.

Also, rarely does anyone from Apache read the forum. If you are not getting responses to your emails to them it may be that your email server is blocking their replies. The mail forwarder that Apache uses is blocked by many other servers around the world. You might try sending from another email address.

If you can't get them to respond by email then you are in a tough situation.

Sadly, the best tactic seems to be to pay by credit card and then dispute the charges just before the ability to do that expires with the creditor. That always seems to get their attention. If that time period has elapsed (typically 120 days--and 4 months is more than fair to wait for delivery) then there is not a lot of leverage available to get the product that was ordered.

Understand that nobody on the forum works for Apache, so nobody can provide a definitive answer. However, my guess that the answer is "No."

However, there have been rumors of Apache bringing out a new version of the ANAN-10. If that is in any way true, perhaps Apache might be willing to sell the SDR board for that by itself.

But nobody really knows.
