Thetis showing incorrect FW version

Postby JJ4SDR » Fri Mar 21, 2025 10:07 pm

I was pulling my hair out over an odd problem that had to do with flashing the correct firmware onto my ANAN 7k. When I received my box (my 2nd 7k), it merely showed FW v2.2.2 which is designed to work with the MKII model if I understand correctly. The FW it actually had on it was either v2.2.2A or v2.2.2B (these work with MKIII, and that was the model although the front says MKII, due to the board with the FPGA on it having been replaced during repair long time earlier), but again, letter A or B is not shown when opening up Thetis! I am about 100% certain of this based on a multitude of attempts to get Thetis to detect the hardware which it did not! Only, on account of my not having flashed the - what I thought was correct - correct FW did I make this discovery.

Had I realized the above was happening I would have saved myself along with several other people some time as there wasn't issue with the box, only that I had flashed the incorrect firmware onto the hardware.

Shoot me down if I am not correct here. I can take it  !
