Two Way Communication

Hey everyone,

Has two way communication between Thetis and the Midi Controller been implemented? I ask because of of the new panels have LED displays like level lights, and saw even one that has some numbers displayed on the large wheels, would be so cool to send the frequency to them. Realize that the displays dont have as many digits, perhaps they could be used for other things as well.

The short answer is "no". There is currently only the ability to control button lighting, and even that is not fully implemented, i.e. if you change a control using MIDI and the lighting codes are properly set up the lights will track the state of the function, but if you change that setting with the mouse it won't change the button light to match.

The only mapping file I have available is for a Hercules DJControl Compact. Which Hercules controller did you order?

Hercules DJ DJControl Starlight - ahh, I do see its a little different from yours. I will figure it out!

Hello NIOZ, do you have a list of the LED (hex) codes for the Starlight?
Or would you be so kind to share your midi config file as a reference?

I have searched the internet for a long time but can't find anything.

In a few older posts a misunderstanding has been created about the LED's addressing for the Hercules controllers.

For the Hercules Starlight (and possible previous models):

The LED ON code is SSYY7F (So, not F7 as posted before!) (7F is 128 decimal)
The LED Off code is SSYY00 (zero-zero)

See attached screenshot for a button example (VAC on/off) but these "codes" are the same for all buttons.
So you don't need to address each button with a different HEX code, just SSYYxx will do.
