Ok, so the manual statesRadios with V2 front panel controls
Press and release the power button briefly (less than one second). The computer will shut down its operating system.
This does not work on my G2 Ultra as it arrived here, and afaik the same is true for many other G2 Ultra V2 panel users. To shut down I had to VNC/ssh/etc into the radio and use shutdown now or use the shutdown button on piHPSDR.
The issue is caused by a missing cable. A patch cable needs to connected to the right pin (as you look at it, marked with yellow arrow in image) on J23 on the panel board, to pin 37 on the 40 pin PI header. This 40 pin header seems to take the format of a standard raspberry pi header.
With this wire in place, tapping the power button will shut the OS down. It works if auto started to the desktop or to the CLI. Note: the state of the led does not change, but the screen etc will turn off after a short time. I would advise waiting 10 or so seconds before holding the button to totally power down.
Cheers, Richie.
