Hi,
I am very pleased with my G2 but noticed I am getting little pops on the receive audio.
I don't recall getting this with my HL2 but I may be wrong and now I am being more critical.
I onlly get these when using my external USB audio device. I have XLR mic and monitor speakers plugged in to this.
It is an Audient ID4. I used this with the HL2, it is using latest drivers.
I have tried with ASIO and MME and both are the same.
I have options in the ID4 driver for sample rate and buffer size. Should i be looking to align these whith some of the settings in Thetis? See attached.
I must admit I have played about with a few options but nothing seems to resolve the pops.
I have tried with a clean/new database and still hearing the pops. I am using the latest Thetis version for the Anan's.
I have also tried with the network tweak.
Any advice very welcome.
Thanks!
Pops on audio peaks with Thetis, G2 and external USB card
Re: Pops on audio peaks with Thetis, G2 and external USB card
Hello. Interesting. I bought 2 yamaha Studio monitors for about 4 days ago and has about the same as you but focusrite 4 Gen. I also discover pops
but only in 1 monitor. c
Change it to another place longer away from everything else but same monitor pops. Now I am on my sunsdr2 dx to the same equipment and the monitors are quiet. I can not try it again because I am sending my Anan G2 for repair of the not properly working 15 m band. So I am not 100% sure, but I will listen tomorrow again and see if its gone.

First thing is ASIO is what you want to use, not MME.
Second, are you using VAC or cmASIO in Thetis? If you are using VAC, then match your VAC main buffer size to your ID4 buffer size. If you are using cmASIO you have to use buffer size 64. If things won't run well at 64 then you can't use cmASIO because it is fixed at that buffer size.

Thanks, the popping noise is also present when I plug headphones in to the audience id4 and turn off the speakers, so I know its notihing to do with the speakers or speaker output specifically.

Ok My speakers and headphones not popping with Sunsdr 2 dx. But cannot test again with my Anan G2 It is in a box now waiting to be shipped.
I am using ASIO and VAC played with different buffer settings. Have also used cmASIO works fine, but that was before I hade my studio monitors. So did not noticed any pops from my earlier pc monitors.
